About Me

“Who am I?”

Some people are quick to frame an answer to this one; yet there are zillions who have traversed the globe endlessly to satiate this single fundamental question about themselves, for themselves. Of all that I’ve learnt, the one most certain fact is that I belong to the later breed.

Life is a journey in the pursuit of self-realization. It’s like taking a deep dive into the womb of an ocean of possibilities for the ‘I’ and each time discovering a unique pearl. The discovery goes on every single day as we assume different roles and experience life from various angles and capture it in our own unique frames. Yes…yes! What you are thinking is right … I am photographer and this particular analogy is only natural to me :)

And that’s exactly what I’ve done for a significant part of my life…I’ve always given in to my love for travels and people, have experienced their culture and embraced all of it in my heart and my camera. What I’ve seen, I’ve also expressed through several exhibitions in Mumbai.

Talking of travels, I am the one for adventure and experiencing nature at its toughest and purest. I graduated from the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute as a qualified expedition leader. So far I’ve led some very tough and technical Himalayan expeditions… four-day 1200m cliff climbs; rafting expeditions down some of the planet’s wildest water…the list just goes on…

But before you classify me as a nomad I must save myself from any sort of labeling by telling you that your Adventure Guide also holds a degree in electronic engineering and is a Corporate Facilitator too. I am the owner of an outdoor pursuits and corporate training company named Outdoors Learning, that has been responsible for addressing the training needs of over 250 corporates, Indian as well as global.

For past 15 years, the steady and reliable companions of my extensive travels across India and world have been my bikes… I own three motorbikes. In 2006 I completed an astonishing UK to India bike trip with my friend Damon. We traveled across France Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan and India. I took my bike to a record altitude of 5713 meters. It was an exhilarating journey and it has further fueled my hunger for new challenges. The next challenge that I am now dedicated to is an attempt to set a new record for a motorbike ride from the southern tip if India to the north.

If I look through the rearview mirror at my life I see a fulfilling journey so far. The answer to “Who am I?” that is unraveling seems like a beloved masterwork in the making.
